1. Overview

The Moon Knows ("we", "us", "our") operates themoonknows.com. By using the site or buying a product, you agree to these terms. You must be legally able to enter this agreement in your location.

2. Products & Services

We offer free astrology tools, personalized readings and digital Books, compatibility and year-ahead products, Moon+ memberships, and customizable digital keepsakes such as star, map, and moon artwork. Digital products are:

• Personalized from information you provide and astronomical or geographic calculations
• Delivered through the site, as a downloadable file, or through account access as described at purchase
• Licensed for personal use; no physical item is shipped unless a product page explicitly says otherwise

3. Pricing & Payment

Prices are shown before checkout in USD unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes or localized charges may be added or displayed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Dodo processes payment, tax, invoices, chargebacks, and approved refunds under its terms. We do not store full card or bank details.

A one-time reading purchase grants access to the named product, not a subscription. Moon+ renews at the interval and price shown at checkout until cancelled. You may cancel future renewal through the available account or payment-management flow; cancellation does not remove access already paid through the current term.

4. License & Usage Rights

Upon purchase, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the reading, Book, or downloaded artwork for:

• Personal reading, reflection, storage, and printing
• Gifting through a feature expressly designed for that purpose
• Printing purchased artwork through a print service for personal use

You may not:

• Resell, publish, redistribute, scrape, or sublicense paid content or files
• Use paid content or files for commercial products or services
• Claim the design as your own original work

5. Intellectual Property

The Moon Knows brand, website design, code, written interpretations, and generated layouts are protected intellectual property. Map data is sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL license. Astronomy calculations use published astronomical models and data.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate birth, location, account, and order information
• Reviewing the preview, product description, price, and birth-time status before purchasing
• Ensuring the content you add (names, text) does not violate any laws
• Keeping access to the email used for checkout or optional account recovery

7. Disclaimer

Our products are provided "as is". While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the absolute precision of star positions, moon phases, or geographic data. Posters are intended as decorative art and should not be used for navigation, scientific, or legal purposes.

Astrology readings, horoscopes, cosmic identity cards, and Ask the Moon notes are provided for entertainment and self-reflection only. They do not offer predictions, guarantees, or medical, legal, financial, or professional advice, and should not be relied upon as such.

A Rising sign depends on an accurate birth time, place, and time-zone offset. Where the site must estimate a time zone, the result can be less precise near a sign boundary.

8. Accounts, Delivery, and Refunds

Anonymous device access depends on browser storage. Optional magic-link sign-in can restore supported purchases and Book state across devices. You are responsible for using the correct email and maintaining access to it. If delivery or recovery fails, contact us with the Dodo order number and purchase email.

Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy and any mandatory consumer rights in your location.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Moon Knows shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or services.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
