Twenty-four nights of their sky.
Advent of the Sky is a digital advent calendar you send as one link. From December 1, a door opens every midnight in their timezone: that night's real moon over their city, one true line about the sky, and a note from you if you wrote one. Door 24 is Christmas Eve, under a nearly full moon. $12, nothing to ship.

Advent calendar questions
What does the recipient get?+
One private link. It opens to a calendar of 24 doors with their name on it. Each door, from December 1 to Christmas Eve, shows that night’s real moon over their city, drawn from astronomy, one true line about the sky that night, and your note if you wrote one. No app, no account, any phone.
When do the doors open?+
Door 1 opens at midnight on December 1 in their timezone, and one more opens every midnight until door 24 on Christmas Eve. Send it early and it waits with a countdown. Send it after December 1 and every door that has already passed opens the moment they tap.
Is there really a full moon on Christmas Eve?+
Nearly. December’s full moon peaks at 01:28 UTC on December 24, 2026, which is the evening of December 23 in the Americas. At 9 pm on Christmas Eve it is still about 98 to 99 percent lit from Los Angeles to Sydney. Door 24 shows it over their city.
Do I have to write 24 notes?+
No. Every note is optional. A door without one still opens with that night’s moon and its line about the sky. Many people write a handful: the first door, a few in the middle, and Christmas Eve.
What do you store?+
Their first name, yours, the city you pick with its coordinates rounded to about a kilometer, their timezone, and your notes. No email and no contact details. Each note stays on our server until its door’s midnight. The sky itself is computed on their phone.
Can I buy it after Christmas?+
The 2026 calendar sells until December 24. After that it rests, and returns next season.
