Your Sun sign is the headline of your personality: your identity, your spark, the you that's unmistakably you on your best and hardest days. It's what most people call their “star sign,” set simply by the day you were born.
Your Moon sign is your inner world: your emotions, your instincts, and what you need to feel safe and soothed. It's the private you that only the closest people really see, set by where the Moon was the moment you arrived.
Your Rising sign is the first impression you make: the energy people meet before they know you, and how you instinctively step into a room. It needs your exact birth time, because it shifts about every two hours.

What is a Rising sign?
Your Rising sign (or Ascendant) is the sign that was coming up over the horizon the moment you were born. It's the first impression you make, the energy people feel before they really know you. It needs your exact birth time, because it changes roughly every two hours.
What is my Big Three?
Your Big Three are your Sun, Moon and Rising signs. Together they're the heart of your birth chart: who you are at your core (Sun), how you feel underneath (Moon), and how you come across (Rising). Most of astrology's 'that's so me' feeling lives in these three.
What is a house in astrology?
Your chart is split into twelve houses, twelve areas of life like love, work, home, money and friendship. Where your planets fall shows which parts of life they colour most.
What is an aspect?
An aspect is the angle between two planets in your chart. It tells you whether two parts of you flow together easily or create a bit of friction, and that friction is often where you grow.
What is a transit?
A transit is where the planets are right now, and how today's sky touches your birth chart. It's what a daily horoscope reads: the live weather of your cosmos.
What does Mercury retrograde mean?
When a planet looks like it's moving backward from Earth, it's 'retrograde', a time to slow down, review and revisit rather than rush. Mercury retrograde is the famous one, nudging you to double-check messages, plans and tech.
