Before you begin
Is The Moon Knows free?
Yes. Your birth chart, your Big Three, a reading every morning and three spoken affirmations a day are free, with no sign-up. Moon+ is $9.99 a month, or $79 a year, for the rest of your sky. Cancel anytime.
Do I need my exact birth time?
No. Your birthday alone shows your Sun sign and the Moon of that night. Add the time and place to see your Rising sign and your exact chart. If you do not know the time, tick "I don't know my time" and add it later.
Is my birth data private?
Your chart is worked out in your browser, and your birth details stay on your device. Only the town you type is looked up on OpenStreetMap to find where it is. If you choose to sign in, the little we need to restore your chart on another device is kept in your private account record.
How is this different from other astrology apps?
Every reading starts from the real sky: the true positions of the Sun, Moon and planets for the minute and place you were born, drawn so you can see them. The words are plain, each day comes with the hour it lands, and your sky can become a print you keep or give.
Do I need to download an app?
No. It works in your browser on any phone or computer. Add it to your home screen for one-tap opening, and choose the hour your morning reading arrives.
Is astrology real?
